I originally made this wdt tool because my old Eureka MCI Mignon Mill produces a lot of clumps and since a lot of friends started asking me about it they are now available for purchase.
This little tool brings puck preparation to the next level.
It is helpful in distributing the coffee grounds evenly, breaking up clumps after grinding and therefore reducing channeling and improving extraction.
I make these by hand, the needles are inset into the wooden handle, with just a little bit of superglue to make sure they stay in place.
The handle is ~55mm in height and 20mm in diameter, which makes it easy to hold and use.
The Color and natural pattern of the wood might differ slightly from piece to piece, due to the natural growth of the wood.
If you are unsure, please leave me a message and I can send you a picture beforehand.
The stainless steel needles are either 0.2, 0.3 or 0.4mm thin and approx. 45mm long.
I offer 3, 4, 5, or 8 needles, but can also make custom orders.
If you are unsure which one to take:
💢The 0.3mm needles are most popular with most baristas and the recommended version.
💢The 0.4mm needles are helpful with coffee that has a low oil content and for coarse grinds.
💢The 0.2mm needles are insanely thin and only recommended to experiment.
The wood is varnished (with food safe, naturally boiled linseed oil), still it should not be soaked in water or washed in a dishwasher.
Gentle hand cleaning with water and mild soap is advised, let dry after cleaning.
